No. Synthetic teak has a sure foot grip when wet which is better than teak or non-skid fiberglass areas.

Because synthetic teak is a plastic product, it doesn’t require any of the maintenance demanded by teak and it’s easy to clean. You never need to apply any protectants, oils, or other products to preserve the finish. Fish blood, food, drinks, and dirt are easily washed away.

The adhesive will bond to wood, fiberglass, steel, and aluminum. It will also bond to epoxies or fillers used to level or repair the sub-surface, if needed.

we have a restauranr on the lake. We just installed a new concrete patio and stained it blue, not happy. We are going to cover with shade saiils for comfort, we feel a nice decking would add some class. Temperatures can dip below -50* F in Winter and 95*+ in summer. I feel Teak decking would look Great , give the Nautical feeling. We have brass lighting and Porthole lighting , Warf posts and 2" line as safety railing.
